Origins

The English Lab began in 2010 at Amgen Mfg. Ltd. n Juncos, Puerto Rico, with a customized pronunciation & vocabulary course for the plant's general manager. This course was arranged by Rupert Amy, an iconic leader in Puerto Rico's HR industry, who took a leap of faith in hiring The English Lab, an industry newcomer at the time. The course was a success, and a unique service was born. Rupert, I am forever grateful for that opportunity.

Since then,

The English Lab has been successfully developing and providing customized coaching and training programs for clients in Puerto Rico and Latin America, including Amgen, Banco Popular, Assurant, CooperVision and Miss Universe Puerto Rico, among others. The English Lab provides a customized, intensive learning experience, structured around vocabulary and situations most relevant to the student’s work and interests. One-on-one class meetings are conducted remotely and meet either twice per week, 45 minutes each meeting, or once per week, 1.5 hours each meeting. The course is completed within 8 to 10 weeks.
